Artepixel works in two directions: Illustrations and Digital Painting (and coloring).

We like a lot: female pinups old style, art and fantasy, sci fi, character development, concept art, matte painting, texture painting, caricatures, children illustrations, manga style, cartoon and also comics.

Cris de Lara is our major artist (penciller and painter as well as partner). She loves to illustrate and to paint our own pinups.

Illustration and painting is our world and our passion.

We are always searching for projects where our skills fit, no matter if it is for game's industry, children books, movie's industry, advertising & marketing, fashion market, etc... we think every job it is a chance to learn new tecnhiques, to make new friends, to improve our skills, to find other artists....

Following, there are some samples of sketches, illustrations and paintings we have done. Some of them for our own portfolio, others for some clients. Take a look at them. We hope you enjoy a lot.

ILLUSTRATIONS SAMPLES

		This Pin-up was done for Halloween's Day. We used Photoshop and Painter. It was done entirely in digital way. 		We prepare this image to answer a question in the Questions & Answers section in ImagineFx Magazine. As the question was about how to paint feather textures we decided to show to the readers one of the many ways to achieve the result. We started doing the pencil's sketch, the flat colors and.... the rendering with textures (although the question and answer was short we decided to do an entire image... we felt it would be a nice image, hehehe). We added some elements in it to post it in Cris de Lara' s CGSociety Gallery. 		We also did this image to ImagineFx Magazine. Question was about how to create a realistic look with textures.... but there was also something to animals... so, to show to the readers that it is possible to achieve a real photographic result from the pencil's sketch... we did this turtle. 		We did this Pin-up for Christmas Day. The initial pencil sketch is different than the final version. We wanted to get an humor ambience to the scene. Actually, the last version is in CGSociety Cris de Lara's gallery . This colored version is not finished not completely rendered, but the purpose is to show one of the stages of it
		We did this image to try a different painting method. We liked very much the result, It is very intense image. It was one of the most commented image in the foruns and galleries. The conception' s research was very nice too. The tattoos, the clothes, the guitar.... We start doing the sketch on a paper and we achieve the final result. 		We like Fanart Pin-up very lot, Vampirella is a very charming and sensual comics character in our opinion. We thought about a younger Vampirella mixed comic manga style in a very private moment. spreading an exotic perfum over your sexy body.... Well...., this image was to try a different style, composition, color palette... 		This is another interesting comic's character. We try a mix of sensual cute comic manga style this time. The result was nice(in our opinion) as a Fanart Pin-up. At left the initail sketch. 		These are commissioned characters for a Jordanian Studio..... the character's initial concept (Sherazzade Princess - Tales from 1001 Arabian Nights) and the final versionWIP. 		We are Comic Book' Fans and we love to make pinups with some characters. This is our fanart version for Poison Ivy. The conceptual art was also very interesting as well as the painting and the image' s composition. What if Marvel or DC invitated us to make a Cover? 		We were ordered to draw several fairy images to a client. As we did about 10 images we decided to draw some other images for our own portfolio. This is one of our sketches. COLORIZATION's SAMPLES

		We did this painting when we used to work as Comic book's Colorist. It is a drawing from Will Conrad, one of the best Comic penciler from GlassHouseGraphics.com and also a nice friend.
		This Conan is a Mike Deodato version... what to say about Mike's artwork? We are Fans of his work (I am his fan for a very long time). Mike Deodato is one of the best penciler in the world, he is also a inker and painter. It is an honor to us to paint one of his artwork and we would love to paint a Mike's comic book cover (maybe one day DC or Marvel invite us to do it, hehehehehe).
		This is another great artwork from Mike Deodato we had chance to paint. He does very hot girls.... we just apply some colors but we try to improve the hairs, this Elektra was already done.
		This page is from Star Wars. Adriana Mello is the penciler she is another great penciler and artist we had the honor to paint her job. She also makes amazing Pin-ups.... her style is..... WOW :-o and she draws sexy and gorgeous women in a unique way like no one else.
		This comic book page is from Will Conrad. He is also another great artist we know.... like Deodato, he is not only a penciler, he does lots of other artist things. I am also a Fan of him, unfortunatelly there is almost nothing of his work (here) in Brazil. He does great jobs in every project he is involved in. This She-Hulk issue was wonderful and he asked us if we wouldn't like to paint it like a test... we were stunning to do this.
		This is a Will Conrad's Sonja Pin-up. It was another present to us having the chance of painting his amazing artwork.
